The Beginning of My Community Journey

If you’re anything like me, the second you put your mind to something you are determined to make it happen. I knew I wanted to show others something I loved and let them try it for themselves. For me, that was hosting tennis camps for kids in grades 1-8.

I come from a small area where most kids would never get the chance to play tennis. I thought, what if I created camps at a minimal cost and give them the opportunity to not only learn but get a free racket, balls, etc? Maybe that might just change someone’s life.

I said to myself, no way I can do this. However, with enough planning I did. The first step is to think about what you really want to do. Once you have that, you can fine tune it into something incredible. Below I created a list of steps to follow if you want to plan an event too!

The Ultimate Guide to Planning an Event

  • Step 1: Dream it.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to make a difference in someone’s life. Maybe you want to show others how fun something you do can be for them too. Whatever it may be, I’m here to help you get started.

  • Step 2: Plan it.

With your idea in mind, it’s time to get planning. This is where everything will fall into place. Click on the picture to see my ultimate checklist!

  • Step 3: Reach out.

Now that you have a plan, it’s time to put it in action. Reach out to the people who can help turn your event from good to great.

  • Step 4: Spread the word.

Everything is lined up and working. Now it’s time to post on your socials, go to places people may be interested in what you’re doing, and show others why they should want to come to your event.

  • Step 5: Execute it.

It’s finally time to bring your vision to life. Following the checklist will help make you feel calm and ready to go. Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect the first time.

  • Step 6: Enjoy it.

Have fun at the event too! You deserve it. People will feed off your emotions, so live in the moment and have fun! Trust me, you’ll be so happy you did.
